The Wednesday Bridge Club met
with Mr*. J. w Pender on Wednes-
day afternoon when nine table* en-
joyed the same, the guests Including
four table* of the members of the
club and five tables of other friends.
Halloween decorations were carried
out. the living room and sun room
having yellow cosmos in jack o’ lan-
tern holders and th« dining room
having yellow roses and shaded
lights. Score pads, tallies and table
covers also were suggestive of the
fall festival.
Mrs. M L. Martin was wUfner of
high score for members, and Kirs
Orow Wright was winner among the
guests- Mm. Inea Carroll sister of
the hostess, was a house guest.
After playing six games the hos-
tess served a two-course luncheon.
The first plate carried fried chicken
stickfl cheese salad decorat ed in Hal>
loween facts, mixed pickles, cran-
berries molded in half moods, curled
celery, hot rolls, coffee or tea. Th<
dessert plate contained an ice Cours-
on which bats, owls and other em-
blems were molded. angel food
squares with chocolate trimmings,
and chocolate coated peanuts in ap-
propriate nut cups.
