model Buick sedan also parked at the
. <ide and speed away from tJie officers
out of town. The thief has not been
caught according to last reports.
The Navasot^ car was wrecked to

STINNETT FAMILY RETURN
TO THEIR HOME TODAY
Austin, Dec. 12. — That the past
year has been a profitable one for
mote commercial enterprises is indi-
cated by the small numbef of bank-
ruptcies. according to Bervqrd Nichols,
editor of the Texas Business Review,
Issued monthly by the Bureau of Busi-
ness Research at the University of
Texas.
“During November, only 24 bank-
rupt companies with liabilities of
$281,000. were reported in . Texas, the
smallest number to any November on
record,” Mr. Nichols said. “This
compands with 39 failures haring lia-
bilities of $407,000 in October, and 58
defaulting companies with liabilities
involving $944,000 in November, 1927.
A llie large decrease in the number of
6alhiBes from October to November
(Ms year Is mote enoouratging when it
1hw noted that an increase Is the nor-
mal trend. Normally, August or Sep-
tember is the low month and January
the high one.
“Defaulting companies were a little
larger. The average failure in No-
vember had liabilities amounting to
$11,700, compared to $10,500 in Octo-
ber and $16,300 in November a year
ago. No bank failures were reported
for the month.” | •
