Lexington, Va., Dee. 28. — An old
Confederate soldier saw General Lee
yesterday for the first, time in sixty-
four years.
He saw Ix*e in marble, reclining,
life-like, lifesize, over his tomb in the
chapel of Washington and Lee univer-
sity here. The old soldier. Vivian M.
Fleming of Fredericksburg said Lee
in marble looked just like the Lee who
directed troops in the Battles of the
Wilderness.
