.. .From the pastors
You Are Summoned to Appear
1. He comes as a baby to take on our flesh
2. He comes as a martyr on a cross to take on our sins
3. He comes as all-powerful in resurrection to give us immortality
4. He comes as eternal Judge to condemn those who never accepted Him
Our image of Jesus is one of love, of compassion, of redemption of sinners, even of
acceptance of lepers, thieves, prostitutes, the outcast. But we miss a major dimension of

everlasting punishment those who did not obey His commandments. He is no warm

Him and accepted Him as Lord; (b) begun to love one another—this is His commandment
(John 13:35); and (c) are active and aggressive witnesses for Him wherever you go.
Show Him today that He is your first love and your guide for living; and you will never
see Him as condemning Judge!
There comes a time to 'pay the piper.' Every action carries its consequence. You must
reap what you sow.
Snappy adages, but sobering. They all tell us that there is a time of judgment, light or
heavy. Today we lit the fourth candle in the Advent wreath. That candle symbolizes the
awfulfourth identity of the Christ. He 'makes His advent,' or comes among us in four
ways:
