Ninety-two children attended the
opening day of Vacation Bible
Sc I ioo I at the First Methodist
Church yesleixlay.
The school is meeting each
morning this week from 8:.'I0 to

of Bible study, worship, recreation
and handwork planned for each
day.
All children between the ages of
four 'and fourteen arc invited to
attend.

and Mr. and Mrs. Brown.
The couple will make their home
in Lnwton, Okla., after June 12.

For traveling, the bride chose
a coral pink strutters cloth suit
with brown and white accessories.
She wore a white orchid corsage.
Mrs. Gray is a graduate of Lub-
bock High School, and has com
pleted her sophomore year at
Tfxas Tech. Sgt. Gray is a gi.Mi-
nute of Breckenndge High School,
and was a junior at Tech until he
was culled back into the army in
January. He hail served two years
during World War II.

ding from Amarillo, Borgor, Ft.
Sill, Ft Worth, Goldnboro, Abi-
lene. Brooklyn, N. Y.. Boston,
Mass., Plainview and Brecken-

Shown HD Leaders
The use and care of machine at-
tachments was the subject of a
training meeting for Stephens
County home demonstration clubs
clothing leaders and demonstr.it-
ors. The meeting was conducted
by County Home Demonstration
Agent Tom Joyce Cunningham
yesterday at her home.
Demonstrations on the button
hole, hemmer, tucker, gatherer, and
bias fold attachments included how-
to use, dean, oil and store these
valuable pieces. The agent also
showed leaders how to make bias
strips by sewing the material in
advance, to produce one long strip
instead of pieces.
These leaders and demonstrat-
ors will give this demonstration to
theii own clubs at the second meet-
ing in June.

Hope ami Mrs. John Vick of Ne-

Wedding Held Sunday
Mrs. Ethylene Luughlin and
M arion Frederick Ledbetter of
Bradshaw were united iii marriage
Sunday in a ceremony at the home
of her sister, Mrs. W. O. Read, in
Abilene.
Rev. Williams of Clyde read the
st rviee, and the couple were at-
tended by Miss Edna Read as maid
of honor and Clarence Ledbetter as
his brother's best man.
The bride's father, Ale\ A. Fin-
cher, gave h"r away. Her son,
Harry l^iughli'i, was candlelightcr
for the ceremony.
The bride wore a ballerina-
length dress of white lace trim-
med in rhinestones. Elbow-length
gloves of lace and a headdress of
illusion falling to shoulder length
from a white cap of flowers com-
plemented her dress. Her only
jewelry was a rhinestone necklace,
and she wore a lucky sixpence in
her shoe, borrowed from Mrs Hob
Roth. She carried white orchids on
a white Bible.
The bridal scene was created
with an archway of greenery and
baskets of white gladioluses.
Miss Read, who its the bride's
niece, wore a white ballerina-
length dress of organdy and car-
ried a nosegay arrangement of
pink carnations.
At ti*' reception following the
ceiVniony, Mrs. Clarence Ledbet-
ter served the three-tieled wedding
cake, and Mrs. Roth, of Brecken-
ridge, pound the frosted lime
punch.
The couple left on a two-week
wedding trip to Colorado. For
traveling the bride chose a dress
of navy lace with rhinestone trim.
White accessories, and white orch-
ids completed her ensemble.
Mr. and Mrs. Ledbetter will
make their home near Brecken
ridge, at J. I'.,Nail's ranch house.
Mrs. Ledbetter is a clerk at the
PMA Stephens County office, and
hi r husband has becu engaged in
farming in Bradshaw.
