Notes

Translation of Item: "Dear Miss,

I received your letter of July 21 and that of your sister Angèle of the 22nd.
I confirm my letter of July 24 to your sister Angèle.
You therefore have no need to go to Holland since your passages are now reserved on SS "Louise Lykes" which leaves Antwerp (Belgium) around August 11th.
Belgium does not require visas for French people; your passport for America, issued for all countries, will therefore be sufficient for you and you will have no difficulty on this side.
I inquired about railway travel costs.
You will need Frs.2,500.- per person from your location in Antwerp, which makes Frs.5,000.- for the train for the two of you.
I am sending you Frs.10,000.- by money order, the additional Frs.5,000.- being for miscellaneous expenses if you have any.
You will settle your accounts with Mr. Kempner; I inform him that I gave you Frs.10,000.- for both of you. Find out more and tell me if this is enough for you.
When you arrive on the boat, you will ask for the packages that I will have put on board when it passes Le Havre.
Accept, dear Miss, the expression of my best feelings."
