AIRMAIL
Miss Ela Marie Frankova,
2050 Viadislavova,
Prague II, Czechoslovakia.
Dear Ela Marie:
I am in receipt of your letter of July 24th. The delay
that you feared has happened. I was out of the city in Washington
and New York for a week or ten days.
I am enclosing herewith copy of mf letter to the local
chairman of the Board of Service to Foreign Born, NCJW. I think
this has been answered exactly in accordance with your ideas and
I hope that you will soon be able to obtain your visa and be able
to sail.
I would suggest to you, however, that you remain in some
large city in the United States. Galveston and towns of this size
are toosmall to take care of the enormous amount of immigrants
who are coming into the country and to find positions for them com-
pared to the larger and industrial cities. I feel sure that you
understand this.
With best wishes, I remain
Yours sincerely,
22Encl.
