The Honorable Alben W. Barkley, Vice President of
the United States, has been nominated to receive the
first Four Freedoms Award as a result of a nationwide
ballot in which you participated. Mr. Barkley will
be present to receive this award at a dinner in the
Grand Ballroom of The Waldorf-Astoria on May 13th.
Other distinguished and interesting speakers will be
present to give voice to the important cause which
this committee is espousing.
We sincerely hope you will find it possible to parti-
cipate personally in this event which we feel will
constitute a dramatic and vital force in perpetuating
the late President's most outstanding contribution to
humanity.
A reservation form is enclosed for your convenience,
and we look forward to the pleasure of your attendance.
