Dear Dr. Lifschuetz:
I am in receipt of your short note of January 17th and, of
course, am always pleased to hear from you. In these troublous
times we have not been able to make any progress in Washington,
diplomatically or politically with reference to our losses in Europe
several years ago.
Answering the last portion of your letter, it is the hope of
Mrs. Kempner and myself to visit Europe again in the late summer
and early autumn of 1952.
