The outlook for rice was never
brighter. Thanks to a Kerles of cir-
cumstances a 10.000,000-bag crop, the
biggest on record, now bids fair to
Ik totally off the market and out of
the way long before another crop can
possibly Ire harvested. The present
ton* of the market is firm, the close
of the season finding rice higher in
price and more In demand than at
the same season for many year past
The high price of other foods have
played a splendid part in behalf of
rice, causing the cereal to ent« i ter-
ritory where it was heretofore prac-
tically unknown, and once established
in these new parts of the country it
Is safe to predict that it will always
remain to take its place amongst tht
usable food products. From thesi
observations it now seems that the
rice future la much brighter than it
has ever been before.
