tives here of the birth of a son to
MY and Mrs. Gordon Bigham form-
erly of Denton, on Christmas Day,
in Waxahachie.
W. N. Masters of Denton was op-
erated upon in Baylor Hospital, Dal-
las, Saturday morning at 8 o'clock,
and to resting well, according to
word received by his family and
friends here. Masters has been at
the hospital fdr several days for
observation and treatment prior to
the operation.

2 tabieepoons chopped pimentos.
1 cup milk.
2 tablespoons butter, melted.
Mix and pour into a buttered loaf
pan. Bake 30 minutes in a mod-
erate oven. Unmold and surround
with sauce.
Turkey Sauce
4 tablespoons butter.
4 tablespoons flour.
2 cups milk.
1-4 teaspoon paprika.
1-4 teaspoon salt.
1 ®CT. well beaten.
1-8 cup turkey. chopped.
Melt butter and add flour. Blend
and add milk and cook until a
creamy sauce forms. Add paprika,
salt and egg. Mix well. Add tur-
key and cook 1 minute, stirring
constantly. Pour over loaf
• Corn Muffins
1 cup yellow corn meal.
1 cup flour.
1-4 cup sugar.
4 tablespoons baking powder.
1-3 teaspoon salt.
1 egg.
1 eup milk.
3 tablespoons butter, melted
Mix and beat 2 minutes. Half
fill greased muffin pans and bake 20
minutes in moderate ovet^. Corn
muffins require longer, slower, bak-
ing than wheat muffins.

1 cup butter.
2 oupa sugar.
3 eggs.
4 tablespoons cream
1 teaspoon vanilla.
1 teaspoon lemon extract.
1-2 teaspoon salt.
3 1-2 cups flour.
1 teaspoon baking powder.
1 cun.^Qconut.
2 tablespoons hot milk.
Crcaqi butter and sugar,
eggd, Cteam. vanilla, lemon and salt.
Beat 2 mfhutea. Add flour and bak-
ing lewder Drop small portions
onto greased baking sheets. Space
3 inches. Mix coconut and milk
and press portions into the dough.
Bake 12 mjnutes in moderate oven.
