Moves To New Location On Elm
IPTte feature^ot tte building is a
ramp on tte north side which will
enable aged, crippled or invalid
persons to enter the church with
Mte.
The built-ta altar and pulpit fur-
nishings are decorated with a ma-
roon color scheme. Stained glass
windows are used throughout tte
building. The educational unit is
three stories and Includes a kitetan
and dining room space.

arbor on N. Wood Street In Sept
1950 the group moved into the East
Ward School and organized oftici- 1
ally with about 35 members.
When the Rev. Earl Keifer was
transferred to Wylie in Jan. 1951, 1
the Rev. Jack Gray filled the pul
pit until Match when the Rev. Ben-
nie F. Jordan was sent here from
Era. The Asbury congregation mov-
ed to Schmitz Funeral Chnpel on
East McKinney in Oct. 1951. Tte
Rev. Frank Barrow has served as
temporary pastor since tte Rev.
Mr. Jordan left in July.
The Rev. Mr. Irvin will officl
ally assume duties hsfre Sunday
when the group moves to their
new location.
Asbury Church has a Women’s
Society of Christian Service and
was the first group in the Denton
District to have a Men's Club.
