Dear Subscriber:
With elections upon us, we all hear a great deal from Republicans who
call the "Fair DeJl" socialistic. Some politicians say that socialism is
the worst thing that could ever happen to America.
Within a day's flight by plane, we have socialism in one of the Great Powers
in the world today -- England. How has it worked?
To answer that question, the editor of FARM QUARTERLY flew to England and
lived on the farm of Henry Bennett, in the county of Kent. Here, he learned
first hand the answers to the questions you wan to know: "What happens
to the farmer under socialism?"
You will find all the answers, given honestly, and in detail, in FARM QUARTERLY
for Autumn. The illustrations are in color -- they are big -- you can see
what's going on.
Many a politican says to the farmer: "Do you want to be a socialist and live
like they do in En-T nd?" But nobody ever gives details of what the farmer's
life is actually liLc in socialist England. Here are the facts by Ralph
McGinnis, editor-in-chief of FARM QUARTERLY, whose previous articles on
France and Yugoslavia like his present article on England, have been hailed
by the nation's leading Republican and Democratic newspapers as honest,
factual and readable.
That's the essence of what FARM QUARTERLY has to offer you -- honesty -- facts --
and entertainment. Enclosed is a review of what's in the current Autumn issue.
A few copies are left on large newsstands.Renew your subscription now, for the next three years, and benefit from the
liveliness, the beauty and-education in each issue of FARM QUARTERLY.
Sincerely,
Frederic B. KnooCirculation Manager
