“I’m not familiar with the situa-
tion off the top of my head,” Farris
said. “If you want me to look into it
and get back to you, I will.”
He said Thursday he had nothing
to add.
Mrizek said the tapes used for the
class were made here, not
professionally.
“They were recorded in the
McCreless Building. The radio sta-
tion broadcasts from here, and the
wires pick up the interference.”
Daniel Meza, coordinator of
foreign students, said he has heard
complaints about the situation.
“They were complaining to me
about that, about the odor and all
that,” Meza said. “It’s just very un-
comfortable and very unconducive
to learning. They said they were do-
ing something about it.”
Meza said he did not know the
laboratory was in a restroom.
Dr. Earl Wright, vice president of
student services, said he was not
aware of the conditions.
“If that’s the case we would like to
know, first thing.”
Mrizek said of the lab, “I don’t
know if it’s such a big problem other
than people going in there and us-
ing the bathroom during lab
hours.”®
