by virtue of an order of the Commis-
sioners’ Court of Galveston County,
Texas, made and entered on the sec-
ond day of September, A. D. 1909, that
an election will be held on Tuesday,
October 12, A. D. 1909, in the County
of Galveston, to determine whether or
not there shall be i'ssued Five Hun-
dred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) of
Galveston County Bonds, for the pur-
pose of constructing, maintaining or
operating of macadamized, gravel or
paved roads and turnpikes or in aid
thereof;
shall be
the said
purpose
Bonds and to. provide a sinking fund
for the redemption thereof. Said Bonds
to be payable in Forty (40) years with
option in County to redeem same at
any time after Twenty (20) years from
their date and to bear interest at the
rate of five (5) per cent per annum.
Said election will be held at the'
polling places of the several election
precincts of Galveston County, State of
Texas, and will be conducted by the
officers holding same in strict accord-
ance with the law, and returns made in
Conformity with the laws of this State.
