Well, how about that? I've
hung wallpaper many times,
but Claire Barrow’s idea never
occurred to me, and she’s right

Thank you for setting us str-

it. Sure will make it easier for

Dear Folks:
From a director of the Wall-
paper Council, comes the foll-
owing advice:
“For the do-it-yourself decor-
ator who i* planning to hang
wallpaper, get started off right.
“Most people start hanging
wallpaper in the corner, but
sometimes you can do a better
matching job with the first str
ip hung elsewhere.
“Also, you should use a plu-
mb line to make sure you hang
the first strip of wallpaper
straight.
“Ure a thumb tack with a
string on it and a weight at the
other end-a piece of chalk or
anything. Tack this at the top
of the wall, and it will give you
a straight line far hanging you-
paper. You can either draw a
line down, qr make a chalk
on your wait
“If the room has a fireplace,
center your first strip over the
fireplace (the focal point of the
room), and work oout from ea-
■ eh side of the first strip.
“If there are two windows on
one wall, start in the center of
the wall between the two win-
dows.
“The main reason is so you
can get a better match on a
patterned paper where you have
a broken wall.
“And, if it’s not a patterned
paper, at least it’s hanging
straight when your eye catches
the center of the room.
“These tips make a more pro-
fessionally decorated room when
you’ve finished.”

Commissioners Court to promote the growth and progress
of our great County.
I would like for you to know and evaluate the fact that
the office of County Judge is more an administrative,
that is, a wise money handling job, than a judicial job.
The State of Texas does NOT require a person to be a
lawyer to qualify as a County Judge Many of our larger
counties do not have a lawyer for a County Judge. Dallas
County is an example of this.
I will be very grateful for your vote and support in this
