MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING - NOVEMBER 5th,
CONGREGATION ADATH YESHURUN
A Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Congregation
Adath Yeshurun, was held on Monday, November 5th, 1934, in the Hebrew
Institute Building, 917 Jackson Street, Houston, Texas.

vZ the Cjair was occupied by Mr. Ben Susholtz, Past President
Congregation. Acting Chairman Ben Susholtz imvited Mr. M.
another Past President, to sit with him.
Sunday School Committee:: Mr. Mx Lewis, Chairman, reported that the
Sunday school was functioning very nicely. Classes were running smoothly.
Mr. Eugene Westheimer had been engaged to replace Mr. Elliott Rubin, resigned.
The Confirmation Class was now in charge of Mr. Westheimer. Mr. Lewis
mentioned the allowance given his. Committee, in amount of $100.00, to be
expended for books for the Sunday School, and in this connection stated
that Rabbi Tofield had wished, to and did secure bibles for use in the
Sunday School. These were obtained from the Publishers furnishing such
publications to the College of Rabbi Tofield and were the kind needed for
our Sunday school work. Thescost of these bibles was $9.25 and it was
necessary that these books be paid from additional funds. Mr. Lewis
recommended that the amount of $9.25 be paid to the publishers and the
Secretary was ordered to send them a check.
