Mr. Anderson came to Biecken.-
ridge in 1932 from Gladewater.
Previous to coming here he was
with the Gladewater Southwestern
Gas & Electric Company and with
the West Texas Utilities Company
at Moran. In 1934 he was ap-
pointed Frigidaire appliance dealer
and in 1944 built the local locker
plant.
He and Mrs. Anderson, formerly
Gwendolyn (Bill) Elliott both
were reared in Moran and were
married in 1930. They have one
son, Ray, now a senior in North
Texas State.
Employed by the company are
houses in town, and an estimated
300 homes have been aircondition-
ed. This, coupled with television
which the company also sells, has
greatly changed habits of Breck-
enridge people to that of living
comfortably indoors at home as
much as possible instead of in the
open spaces.
Besides processing meats and air-
conditioning sen-ices, the Douglas
Anderson Co. handles a complete
line of household appliances. These
include Zenith radio and television
sets, Ironrite ironers, Frigidaire
refrigerators, dryers and ranges
and dish washes. The room coolers
and year around household and
commercial air conditioning appli-
ances also are Frigidaire.
Mr. Anderson in his experience
registered a "first" when he help-
ed sell and install the first air-

Iowa Horse
Population
Takes Drop
WASHINGTON D. C., <U.P> —
Iowa —once ranked as second in
the nation among states in horse
population—failed to list one coun
tv with enough horses to rank in
the top 100 counties, the Bureau of
Census reported.
In' 1920, Iowa had 1,498.042
horses and mules and was ranked
second behind Texas. At that time,
each Iowa county had an average

or with pencil without the use of a
carbon. Chemicals is the secret of
the service. "Paperhouaes will
not attempt to cut the forms," Mr.
Boyd said, "so exacting is the work
of cutting."
Besides the printing done in the
shop, American printers are agents
for National Engraving Company
when steel plate engraving is de-
sired, and also agents for the Lone
Star Match Company.
Delivery time for normal print-
ing work is two days, longer for
larger orders, this time depending
upon the amount of the order and
work to be do"ne on it.
Mr. Boyd came to Breckenridge
from Dallas. He has followed the
printing business for about twenty
years. On Boyd's coming here A-
merican Printers occupied the lo
cation formerly used by the Huse
Printing Company in the Brecken-
ridge Amex-ican Building. Prior to
coming here he was with Bennett
Printing Company and George D.
Barnard of Dallas. He served six
years in the Navy. The church af-
fixation of the family is Metho
dist.
The family consists of the wife
and four children, a boy and three
girls. They live at 303 South Pecan.
The business telephone number
of the company is 10.
UNUSUAL FROG
MACON, Ga. (U.E)—Two 12-year-
olds who make a hobby of collect-
ing and preserving 'unusual crea-
tures" have added a six-legged
frog to their collection. Jerry
Nuhn and Bobb Thompson spied
the six-legged specimen jumping
out of a fish pond and shot it with
an air rifle.
