It is hereby ordered, and no-
tice is hereby given, that there
will be held an election on Satur-
day, the 5th day of April, A. D.
1952 at Refugio Public School in
Refugio Rural High School Dis-
trict No. 10 for the purpose of
electing two (2) trustees for said
School District, in said County, to
serve for the ensuing term.

Soil District Supervisor
Will Be Elected March 28
At Meeting in Austwell
E. W. Bartholomae of Seguin,
Texas and the operators of his
farm land, M. K. and Buddy Gil-
lespie of Woodsboro, signed an in-
itial agreement with the district
last week. The first job to be done
on Cooperator Bartholomae’s farm
is to construct some terraces in a
field that is eroding.

Town of Refugio,
County of Refugio.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN,
in accordance with law, that an
election will be held in the Town
of Refugio, Refugio County, Tex-
as, on the first Tuesday of April,
the same being the 1st day of
April, A.D. 1952, for the purpose
of election officers for the Town
of Refugio, for the ensuing term.
The officers to be elected at such
election are:

The tenure of the officers to be
elected at this election will be for
a period of two (2) years, in ac-|
cordance with an Ordinance adopt-
ed by the Town Council of the
Town of Refugio, Texas, and which
is of record in Minute Book No.
three (3), page thirty-one (31), of
the Minutes of the Town of Re-
fugio.
Said election will be held, as
aforesaid, at the Town Hall, com-
monly known as the City Hall, in
the Town of Refugio, Texas, from
eight o’clock A.M., until seven
o’clock P.M., on said first day of
April, A.D. 1952. Norman Comer-
ford, Mrs. Lillian Adkins, Mrs.
Lucille Adrian, Mrs. Anne Heard
have been appointed by the Mayor
to be judges of said election, the
said Norman Comerford being
designated as presiding judge, the
presiding judge being authorized
to appoint competent and reputable
clerks as provided by law.
All qualified electors under law
of this State, who have resided FOR SALE—5 acres of land in-
side Woodsboro city limits. This

L. R. Jeter of Refugio signed
an initial agreement with the dis-
trict last week. Cooperator Jeter
plans to construct a pond for live-
stock water.
Cooperator Frank Hartmann, Jr.
seeded Angelton bluestem in a
waterway on which to empty a
terrace system. A nitrogen fer- •
tilizer was applied before seeding
the grass.
Frank Barbel’ of Refugio signed
an initial agreement with the dis-
trict last week. Cooperator Barber
is interested in stopping some large
gullies washing his pasture.
Greeley Frazier of Austwell also
signed an initial agreement with
the district. Cooperator Frazier
plans to slope and seed a gully in
one field to check the erosion.
The supervisors of the district
held their regular monthly meeting
last Tuesday night, March 25.
Supervisors present were J. E.
Bauer of Refugio, H. H. Olson of
Woodsboro and E. E. Schultz of
Tivoli. Visitors present were Jul-
ian Howard and Bob Holman of
the Aransas Wildlife Refuge, Jim
Wales of Refugio, Valley Kircher
of Refugio, B. D. Reynolds and
R. G. Crawford of the Soil Con-
servation Service, D. F. Bredth-
eaur, Refugio County Agent. The
initial agreements of E. W. Bar-
tholomae, L. R. Jeter, Frazier
Bros., and Frank Barber were ap-
proved.
Discussion was held and a co-
operative agreement was entered
into with the Aransas Wildlife
Refuge.
Plans were made to hold an elec-
tion for supervisor in sub-division
number 4 of the district. This sub-
division includes all the land east of
the Hug-the-Coast Highway. The
date selected for the election is
Friday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in
the Austwell schoolhouse. A pro-
gram concerning soil conservation
will also be given.
POSTED NOTICE—All lands in
Refugio County belonging to
Mary Ellen O’Connor, Thomas
James O’Connor and Wm. J.
O’Connor Estate are posted un-
der the law. No hunting, fish-
ing, camping, trapping, positive-
ly no hunting with dogs, or any
trespassing permitted. Violators

New Cessna Aircraft
On Display Sunday
Refugio.—Cruse Aviation, Inc.,
Cessna Aircraft Distributors, will
demonstrate and display the new
all metal four place 170 “B” Busi-
nessliner at Rooke Field from
10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sun-
day, March 30.
The public is invited to see the
new Cessna in flight and to in-
spect it on the ground. With the
new high lift flap it flies almost
at zero speed and will climb al-
most straight up. With flaps re-
tracted it shoots forward at al-
most 150 miles pei’ hour. More
than 100 Refugio county people
have been invited to fly or ride in
this aircraft Sunday.
