Sunday morning the sermon topic
will be “God”. The topic for Sun-
day night is “Baptism” which will
be followed by the baptismal serv-
ice. We have had a good week of
revival services. All who came sure-
ly received a blessing.
Our church is starting a cam-
paign to locate all the members
of this church and to enlist the
Baptists who are living here but
whose membership is somewhere
else. God has said in his word
that each of us make up the body-
of the church. If your arm were
missing, it would be a great loss.
If our bodies lose even an inch of
skin, it is greatly felt. Though it
isn’t so evident, one member who
is not doing his part or is miss-
ing from the action makes a big
difference in the ovei' all develop-
ment and activities of the church.
In a recent service Bro. Gary
said “A member who has not mov-
ed his membership is a hitch-hik-
er”. Are you hitch-hiking spiritual-
ly? If you are living in or near
Refugio and have not moved your
membership to this church would
you answer the following ques-
tions in your heart ? What does
God want me to do about it? What
good is my membership doing the
old home church ? Am I really
confessing Jesus before men if
my membership is not where my
home is ? Would I move and leave
behind my most sacred possession?
Is not a right relationship to God
a most sacred possession?
We are praying that the Bap-
tists who are here will come into
our church and help us carry on
for God. We know that when Chris-
tians get right with God the whole
town will be revived.
See you in church Sunday.—Re-
porter.

- Peace and joy naturally follow
the spiritual understanding and
assurance that you are a child
of God. This thought will be em-
phasized in the Lesson-Sermon to
be read at Christian Science serv-
ices next Sunday. The subject will
be “Man.”
The Golden Text is from I John:
“Behold, what manner of love the
Father hath bestowed upon us,
that we should be called the sons
of God” (3:1).
Among the selections from the
Bible to be read will be the fol-
lowing: “But as it is written, Eye
hath not seen, nor ear heard, neith-
er have entered into the heart
of man, the things which God hath
prepared for them that love him”
(I Corinthians 2:9). Mary Baker
Eddy, the Discoverei' and Founder
of Christian Science writes in the
textbook, “Love, the divine Prin-
ciple, is the Father and Mother of
the universe, including man”
(Science and Health with Key to
the Scriptures, page 256).
