March, in the VKW home. Presi-
dent Grace Eubanks conducted
both meetings.

! beh. Benjamin Williams, Jay Den-

j A letter of thanks was read from
the president ot the Waco chapter
for the VA hospital in Waco.
Plans were made to send Easter
! candy to the McKinney VA Hospi-
j tal. Reports of 35 general visits
and eight hospital visits were giv-
en. Members attendance for the
month totaled 19.
At the last meeting of the group,
the chapter celebrated its tenth
birthday. A pot luck luncheon was
held prior to the meeting.
The luncheon table was covered
with a white cloth trimmed in
large red roses and was centered
with a gold birthday cake. Floral
arrangements of roses and vio-
lets were used.
After the business session, the
meeting closed with the group sing-
ing "Blest Be The Tie That Binds."

Five, March 19
In observance of National Libr-
ary Week 'March 16-221, members
of Brownie Troop 5 were taken to
the local library by their leader,
Mrs. Jerry Ferrel, on March 19.
Librarian Mrs. Ed. Pace told the
girls how to handle new books and
take care of them. She showed
them the children's books and ans-
wered questions about obtaining
library cards.

Brownie Troop 14 met Thursday
in the South Ward Cafeteria, Pres-
ident Karen Squyres conducting the
meeting. Leaders present were
Mmes. Sid Foster and V. K. Clay-
ton.
The members reviewed the Ten-
derfoot Rank Requirements which
they must pass in order to "fly in"
at the end of this school year. They
studied the Girl Scout promise, slo-
gan, handshake and the ten laws.
Each girl gave a demonstration
on the proper method of setting a
table and discussed the use and
displaying of the flag.
Nibbles of cookies were served
by Teresa Foster. The meeting
closed with the Pledge of Allegi- j
ance and the Wishing Circle.

An organizational meeting for
local Girl Scout Board members,
troop leaders and other interested
parties was held Friday morning
in the Little House.
Mrs. Tom Mobley presided dur-
ing business. She gave a brief re-
sume of her recent trip to Stephen-
ville to attend a meeting of council
chairmen.
Man topic of discussion for the j
morning was the Day Camp fori
Breckenridge Brownies and Girl'
Scouts. The date was tentatively
set for May 26. Beginning at 8 a. m. I
and continuing until 2 p. m.. the ,
camp will be held for five days.
Mrs. Jack Leveridge was select-
ed as local day camp director.
A training school for leaders will
precede the encampment.
