dormitory girls wish to express
appreciation to Mrs. Acker for the
lovely picnic supper she prepared for
us with no little labor on July 1th.
Il was delicious to the last bite and
we enjoyed it.
On July 4th, Mrs. Acker was pilot-
ing President Binnion and some vise-
tors through the dormitory and the
following incident occurred:
Mrs. Acker (stepping into the
door- "May we cz.ne in'"
Inmate Hn kimona with hair roll-
ed! "My goodness no' and the door
slammed shut.
President Binnion evidently had the
true July 4th spirit from the way his
laughtei echoed through the halls at
the explosion.

Ala* Murray has succumbed to tBa
popular vogue of costume photoplays,
and in her latest. "Jaxamanla." the
charming Metro star adds another t

The successor in popular favor to

ly as ever, wear* gown* as brilliant
and awe inspiring as Is her custom,
an<l "Jazzmania" is a novel cotnbina-
I tion of the real and the make believe.
The story concerns Queen Ninon, a
ruler in a Balkan kingdom, who es-
cape* to America to avoid a revolu-

enemies. The delightful queen is an
a enthusiastic concerning ja*» at”1 in

Once again she I*
restored to popular favor and her
kingdom become* the Republic of
Jaxzntania. with a loud, tuneful ac-
cent on the jazz.
The role of Queen Ninon affords
the star her l<est opportunity in a
long time to display her remarkable
versatility. She is at times a delight-
ful comedienne, a skillful dancer, and
an emotional actress. To each of
these she is felly aide to do more than
complete justice.
Supporting Mis* Murray is a cast
genufn* «xcellence.
Rocque is excellent as Jerry
don. Ninon's Amrlcan lover*
Frazer, too. does fine work as Cap-
tain Valmar one of her loyal sub-
jects; others seen prominently are
Jean Hersbolt, Edward Burn*. Lionel
Belmore. Wilired Lucas and Herbert
Standing, at the Hippo Tuesday
Wednesday.
Arrangement* for the Wolfe City 1

lege, Commerce. Congressman Sam
