in the JaytOn Cemetery, un-
der the direction of Springer
Funeral Home of Aspermont.

Peacock, and Joe Favors, Ed.
Reeve;, R. L. Harrison, Jr.,
and Elbert Walker, all of Jay-

Mr. Myers is survived by his
wife; five daughters, Mrs. J. W.

The deceased had suffered a
stroke about 30 days ago but
had been improving and had
been to his office in AroOr-
mont Saturday. He became 11'

Mr Myers was born in Lam-
passas Countv. Texas, on Oc
tober 30, 1894, and had lived
in Stonewall County for 56
years, coming to Oriana in
1898. He farmed there until
1953, when he moved to Jay-
ton. At tfc-> time of his death,
he ooerated an oil lease office
in Aspermont in connection
wth his brother, M. C. Myers.

three years of legal maneuver-
ing by residents of Jayton and
Clairemont, former county seat,
as to where the official county
seat should be located.
At 1:30 p.m., Monday, the
entire court met on the aide-
walk in front of the ruins of
