—. — Von Dohlen, who for the past
several years has been associated with
the p, (I. Huston drug store, of this
city, has accepted a like position with
the Smith-Lockhart Drug Co., assum-
ing charge of his position Saturday.
Mr Von Dohlen Is a very competent
druggist as well as a popular sales-
man and we bespeak tor him quite a
successful and pleasant association In
his new field.
Word was received here this morn-
ing conevying the Intelligence of the
death of Mr. Wni. D, Cleveland, of
Houston. Mr. Cleveland was well
known throughout the state of Texas,
the firm at which he was the head
being one of the most widely known,
perhaps, of any in the South.
Mr. Cleveland had a brother here,
Col. Sol J. Cleveland, who left Imme-
diately for Houston upon receipt of
sad nows. We haven't learned
the sause of Mr. Cleveland’s death.
