Desdemona, July 13.—Two new
wells brought in this week have added
another 6,000 barrels or better to the
already overcrowded condition The
first of these was brought in by the
Riley Leasing Association of Eastland,
on the Daniels tract The well has
I not been drilled in but is making at
the present time 2,500 barrels The
tract mentioned is a one-acre lease in
the townsite directly north and about
1,500 feet from the Terrell No. 1. Ac-
cording to the management the bit
barely touched the sand, and no effort
being made at present to see what it
will do, aa the Magnolia Pipe Line

It's most disagreeable, isn't it?
Food is too precious now to waste or to allow it to tie spoiled be
cause of a refrigerator that dots not maintain an even temperature
and preserve the food
It’s a patriotic duty demanded of us that we save all the food we can.
In considering this one must be impressed with the fact that by

One of the large deals of th< week
was that of J. Brent Clarke and U.
W. Morgan, representing the firm of
E. V Coalc & Company, of Ranger
an dDesdemona. who sold a one-
fourth royalty in the L. W. Moore
tract, an offset of the Dixie, on the
east, to F. L. God fey of Enid. Okla ,
for a consideration of 350.000 Tulsa.
Okla., operators have one well on the
tract, hut the gas pressure is so
strong no effort has been made
complete the well to the sand
The Beaver Valley Terry No. 1 is
setting the eight-inch casing in the
black lime and will drill in Thursday,
according to a statement issued by
the management Tuesday. This well
is 16 Ofeet *outh of the Wagner gaah-
touted by some as the biggest well I
since the Carey, is that of Warren i
Wagner, on the Mrs Bobbie Terry I
tract, which came in with a rush about ,
midnight Monray. Tin- bit touched
the sand about 2,660 and the drill was j
sent into pay a distance of 27 feet. A
great rush of oil mingled with pos-
siblly 15,000.000 feet of gas made
things interesting for the drillers. For-
tunately, Wagner had provided tanks
that would take care of 6,000 barrels,
but at the present rate these will soon
prove inadequate. The oil is flowing
into the flow tank with such rush that
it leaps over tho sides, despite the fact
that two four-lnlh lines lead into the
storage tank*. Wagner estimates the
well to be good for 4,500 barrels, while
others, who claim to know, say that
the well flowed 1,600 barrels between
8 o'clock Monday morning until 11
o'clock, or at the rate of 14,400 barrels
daily. Most oil men accept the well to
be good for 8,000 barrels
That number 13 is not unlupky for
J C. Wright and John F Tucker, ol
the firm of Wright & Tucker, who
turned the lease on the Wagner well
and who own half the production of
the gusher, may be gleaned from the
unusual number of times it figured in
the consummation of the deel
The firm paid 313,000 for tho lease,
which they contracted to buy on the
13th of the month The deal was
closed thirteen days following A short
time later one-eighth of the production
was sold for 313,000 which was the
thirteenth sale made by the firm since
was formed. When
into consideration that
