One of the most interesting books recently come to
our desk is the book of poems just off the press .entitled
“My Tapestry,” by I Airline Mallard.
Consisting of thirty-four poems, this newest anthology
reveals a young author of definite promise. Each theme is
developed with a delicacy of touch and a versatility of ex-
pression rare in so young a writer.
Into her tapestry of song, Lurline Mallard Bowman has
in this book of poems« woven the happy tones of loveliness
of spring—the compelling beauty of dawn, of noonday and
of dusk; of gypsy wanderings, and the mistiness and lure oi
glistening sands and the tones of amethyst and gray far-
flung shores and restless seas.
The title chosen for this grouping of delightful verse is
symbolic and we confidently look forward to other works
from the pen of this young writer that will fulfill the prom-
ise “My Tapestry” holds.
