Tuesday, December 9. Mrs. Tom
Pierce presented the program,
“One Great Fellowship of Love.”
Christmas songs, “Hark, the Her-
ald Angels Sing” and “O. Come
All Ye Faithful” were followed
by prayer led by Mrs. M. A.

tation service and Mrs. R. C.
Cady read the poem. ‘Oh, Prince
of Life." After silent prayer the
group sang,’ “In Christ There Is

led the Royal Service lesson.

before the family, hospital, staff
and friends. The church was
beautifully decorated with palms,
chrysanthemums and lighted tap-
ers in» tall candelabra. Mrs.
Wall .of Ft! Worth played the
wedding music from ‘Lohengrin."
The couple had no attendants
and came in together.
The wedding, planned for De-
cember 25, was set forward be-
cause of the exigency of. war.
Mrs. Major is a Red Cross nurse
and Dr. Major is subject to call.

The Maids and Matrons met
with Mrs. H. T. Ayres Wednes-
day afternoon for the program,
“Famous Structures of the
World.” Mrs. Jess Parrish was
leader of the program and dis-
cussed the most modern form
q f archetecture, skyscrapers.
She enumerated some oi the more
famous structures in New York,
numbly the Empire Building,
Chrysler Building and the Wool-
worth building, and the latest
and largest building ever con-
structed by private capital, Rocky-
fellow Center.
Mrs. Jack Simpson told of the
most beautitful type of build-
ings, the cathedrals of Europe
and America. She showed pic-
tures of some of the most out-
standing ones and related some
of the legends connected with
th eold structures. So many of
the buildings have been destroy-
ed or partially destroyed in the

Gamma Birthday
The Epsilon Chapter of Delta
Kappa Gamma met Saturday at
1:30 p.m. to celebrate its fourth
birthday,«. The meeting was held
at the home of Mrs. Paul Talia-
ferro. Vases of red roses, the
sorority’s choice, were among
the house decorative 'theme.
The dining table was laid with
a lovely normandy lace cloth
centered with p round reflector present,
holding the white birthday cake. •-
Individual gifts, fastened to red
and . gold ribbon streamers, were
around the cake.
A short business meeting was
called to order by the. president,
Mrs. Vallie Stine, followed by
the social hour’ led by Mrs. Will
Young. She read a history of the
club and conducted- a state and
Christmas contest. Miniature
party booklets, containing -places
for party attendance list, date
and place ,and a jumbled Christ-
mas word list. Table favors were
made by Mrs. Therone. Thomp-
son.
