ployees, also got raises, from
$8,580 to $9,600.
The Court Reporter gets a
raise from $1,051 to $1,161.
Assistant County Agent Dan
Cornett gets a raise in pay from
$3,210 to $4,200. Travel
allowance of $1200 is un-
changed.

County Treasurer Lorene
Burton will get a pay boost
from $8,712 to $10,400; and
new County Attorney Floyd
Holder is scheduled to get
$8,600 instead of $6,864.
County Judge H.L. Owens
gets a pay boost from $7,920 to
$9,000, plus travel pay ($900)
unchanged, and an additional
$2,600 as County School
Superintendent.
Debbie Ives, secretary to the
County Judge, gets a pay raise
from $4,620 to $5,200.
County and District Clerk
Jerry Vandiver gets a pay
boost from $10,428 to $11,400;
and Deputy Clerk Davene
Hendershot gets a raise from
$8,184 to $8,700.
Tax Collector Deputies Jean
Fite and Mary Jo Zenor got
raises from $8,184 to $8,700;
and Tax Collector Deputy Judy
Smith got a boost from $6,468
to $7,000.
Salaries of Justice of the
Peace Bob Gober ($8,184), and
Sheriff and Tax Collector C H
Wright ($13,000 plus $900 rent
subsidy); four Sheriffs Depu-
ties ($10,560); one Sheriffs
Deputy ($9,240); and four
dispatchers ($5,544) were not
changed.
Cemetery Caretaker Elvin
Spicer got an increase of $400 in
his contract, from $6,600 to
$7,000.
The new pay schedule is
effective in January. It was
approved by unanimous vote of
the Commissioners Court.
