Tin Can Furniture
(Instead of "Early American"
Lrniture, how about "Early
bap-craft," made with tin cans.
1*5 ^eal furniture for children to
lake and use.
To make the furniture, gather
j many tin cans as possible, plus
£" plywood or other suitable
|ood. Use household cement lib-
lally foral1 gluing arul weight the
feces while drying. Before as-
fembling your furniture, sand all
iood. After assembling, paint
lour furniture in bright colors.
For legs or shelf dividers, stack,
pe and glue tin cans together,
j height of the legs depends on
„« size and number of cans used,
ut be sure the legs on each piece
furniture are the same. Make
«ir legs about 13" high and
Ejble legs about 23" high.
| You will need two identical
feces of wood for each chair or
ble, one for the base on which
the legs are glued and one for the
seat or table top. For your
shelves, use identical wood pieces
for each shelf.
After legs are assembled, glue
them to the base; weight and let
dry overnight. Then glue the top
piece of wood in place and let dry
again. (Follow this same pro-
cedure for the shelves until all the
shelves are added.)
If you want to make a game
table, use a 16" square top. Mark
off into 2" squares, eight squares
each way, and paint the squares in
contrasting, alternating colors.

Good to the last drop.
Whether first or last, that little
drop of water is more important
than you think.
Gtfford-Hill came up with a fine,
mist-like drop that penetrates the
soil quickly.
In fact, the 360's entire sprinkler
spacing and water pattern concept
was computer designed to provide
efficient distribution and a smaller
drop that could virtually eliminate
compaction, puddling and runoff
But all that wasn't enough. They
went ahead and built in more
automation, more control and more
plain old durability than you can
find in any other system.
All things considered, Gifford-I-
360 Pivotal Sprinkler System is
the most sophisticated system
available today.
