i ton a delegation from Fayette, Colo-
rado, Matagorda ami Wharton Coun-
ties to effect district organization

ing upon all present the imperative
need of doing something, and doing
it soon. He told of his visit to the
raft last week ami said that lie was
indeed awakened and thoroughly

stream and the immense damage be-
ing done to property as It does. “A
visit to it will convince any one that
I do not speak idly." said he. "and
unless we d<> get busy we may as well
make up our minds to move."
