Th^ excitement lasted from
about- 8 a.m. until they were
found unharmed about 4 p.m.
The youngsters alighted from a
school bus with intention to wait
.until it came back by and then
to board it for school. They are
said to have gone down into a
ravine,to gather wood for-a fire
while they waited, and could not
be seen wljen the bus passed by.
They then decided to walk across
country, through the woods, to
their homes, about three mile’h
away, and in their wanderings
got lost. A neighbor woman re-
' ported having heard screams and
this, with numerous tracks near
a pool of water, aroused fears of
a drowning, and the tank was
dragged.
