sergeant has served in the

He is the son of Alfred W.
Hodges Sr. and the late Ro-
setta Ford Hodges of Yoakum.
Hodges’ wife, Dana, is the
daughter of Robert L. Edward
of Austin.
Hodges graduated in 1982
from Yoakum High School,
and received a bachelor of
arts in 2011 from Southwest-
ern College, Winfield, KS.

Spring Fling April 1
Bluebonnet Youth Ranch
in Yoakum will host its An-
nual Spring Fling Benefit on
Sunday, April 1 at the Yoakum
Community Center. Activities Joseph Family Center in
Yoakum. Plates to go only at
$7.50 a plate. Country Store
should receive a new certifi-
cate. The certificates are not
forwardable to a new address.
Therefore, if you have moved
or changed your address (for
example: a street address or
physical address to a Post
Office box or from a Post
Office box to your physical
address), your certificate will
be returned to the Tax Office.
There are more than 490
voters on the suspense list
because the voter has not
notified the voter registrar of
the change of address. To cor-
rect an address and to receive
a new certificate, the voter
must contact the Tax Office.
If you received a certifi-
cate for a family member performance, job knowledge,
who no longer lives in Lavaca leadership qualities, team-
County, the certificate must
be returned to the Tax Office

of Relay. After Relay is over,
the canned goods are then
donated to local food pantries.
Anyone wanting to contribute
to this can bring canned goods
on April 15. Last year there
were over 1,000 luminaries
around the walking path, each

The new “Tasteful Traditions” cookbook is now available at the Yoa-
kum Heritage Museum. It is a collection of recipes from friends and
family. The cookbook is available for $15 each donation. For more
