AIR MAIL January 19, 1953 Messrs. Ditta Attila Galletti 62r Via Borgognissanti Florence, Italy Gentlemen: I refer you to the purchases made at your very attractive store when I was in Florence last September and particularly to your invoice dated September 15, 1952, addressed to me. Everything arrived in good order except two gilted picture frames, one at 2600 lire, and one (an oval one) listed at 5000 lire which arrived broken in several places. Neither of these could be repaired satisfactorily and believing no doubt you must have taken out insurance on the parcel, I would like you either to collect for me 7600 lire or replace same. I would rather that you replace same. The two vanity cases came with the legs broken off but these could be very easily glued together and I am making no claim for same. Yours very truly, D. W. Kempner 2504 Avenue 0 22 cc: Messrs. W. R. Zanes & Company Cotton Exchange Building Houston 2, Texas
