If the car happens to be a ’64 Chevrolet,
one thing only. A highway.

GIRLS WIN IN LEONARD
TOURNAMENT
The Girl’s first basketball game,
which was against Wolfe City ended
with a score of 51-36 in favor of
Wolfe City. However in the next
game played against Leonard, the
girls showed that they could really
play basketball. At the end of the
fourth quarter the score was 29-29.
They played two minutes overtime
and with Pam Fagan’s help the final
score was 31-30. This game was play-
THE UNBEATABLES
It is a fact that the W. H. S. facul-
ty can not be beaten. In two past ex-
periences they beat the varsity 45-39
and the Whitewright Exes 45-36.
Neither game was really as close as
the score because all during each
game there was always a wide margin
in the score. The manager and acting
coach of the team has contacted many
teams hunting for an even match, but
none will play them under his rules
which are:
1. play at our home court.
2. letting Mr. M. pinch all he wants
3. let Mr. Me. wear his green shorts
4. smoking at anytime during the
game.
5. not counting fouls.

“BE TRUE TO YOUR SCHOOL”
PRINCIPAL Mr. Custard: Now
“Jimmy Boy” don’t you “Lie to Me”
because “I’m A Long Tall Texan”
and if you do I’ll send you “500 miles
Away From Home”, so “Talk to Me”!
JIMMY: “Please Mr. Custard”,
“I’m Sorry”, I went to a “Surfing Sa-
fari”, “Saturday Night” and didn’t get
back to school Monday morning. But
“You Don’t Own Me”.
JIMMY: I saw the “Party Lights”
around the “Sugar Shack” and “Ma-
ria” said “Walk Right In”. I knew
there would be a “Beach Party To-
night”. Someone shouted, “Let’s Lim-
bo Some More”. It would have been
“Torture” to leave and “Walk Like a
Man.”
PRINCIPAL: Why can’t you “Be
True To Your School” like sweet lit-
tle “Jeannie Brown”?
JIMMY: Well Mr. Custard “I’m
leaving It Up To You”.
PRINCIPAL: There’s only one so-
lution, I’ll “Blame it On the Bosso
Nova.” —PN, LW, JD
