WE SALUTE YOU!
We, the student body of W. H. S.,
wish to salute the Seniors of ’64 for
their hard work and willingness in
preparing and presenting the 1964
Bell. I’m sure they could not have
carried on without the assistance of
their sponsor, Miss Lillian Neathery.
This year’s yearbook is the best one
yet! These Seniors and their won-
derful annual will be long remember-
ed in Whitewright High School. GW

On April 4, 1938, Glen Earnheart established the Glen
Earnheart funeral service in Whitewright. In the inter-
vening 26 years our facilities have grown from a small
beginning until now we have one of the best-equipped
funeral homes in all North Texas, with every modern
convenience and service.

went in, locked the door and went to
sleep in the bathtub. Of course I got
caught! This meant another week of
getting up at 5:30 every morning.
From then on I have come to realize
that it was next to impossible to get ■
away with anything.”
Now we know why Miss Neal has
been so successful in handling the
pupils in W. H. S. for two years. She
inherits the techniques from her
father. But right now the question is
Whither Miss Neal?
school, says she is going to continue
teaching even though she has re-
signed her place here. Although Miss
Neal is quite non-committal on this
matter that she is seen often in the
company of a Mr. Robert Long, an
engineer with Chance Vought. There-
fore we are wondering about her fu-
ture plans.
Miss Neal was born in Kentucky-
town but she graduated from White-
wright High School. She attended
college at East Texas State College
where she majored in Home Econo-
mics.

four sisters.
Some of her favorites are the fol-
lowing: Food — anything that is
edible, Music — Al Hirt, Sport —
Tennis, Actor — Paul Newman,
Actress — Doris Day. She is living
with her parents at present. She is
noted for her window shopping.
Miss Neal’s younger sister Patsy,
in her autobiography told an interest-
ing incident about herself and Miss
Wanda Lanell.
“My father always came up with
some of the strangest punishments
for us when we did something wrong.
One night my older sister and I
were exceptionally loud instead of
going to bed as we were told. My
father did not get any sleep that
night, and the next morning at 5:30
A. M., he came into our bedroom and
made us get up. He said that we
would have to get up at 5:30 for a
week because we had kept everyone
else awake. It was in the summer
when we usually sleep late and this
was quite a shock. Every morning
Daddy would wake us and be sure
that we made it out of bed. On the
last morning, I was so sleepy I could
hardly keep my eyes open when I
got out of bed, pulled the blanket
off and headed for the bathroom. I
THE TYPE OF PAPER WE HAVE
This year the Reflector has chang-
ed a great deal. Instead of giving the
students and people of Whitewright
things they like in the paper you are
putting news that will win contests
and get us in good with the people
in Austin.
The kids of Whitewright enjoy
reading the “Gossip Column” and
“What If Columns.” I believe all the
students read the paper when the
articles were in the paper. When we
have articles in the paper that kids
enjoy, they are going to read the
other columns also. I never even look
at The Reflector now; but if I thought
I might see something in there that
I might enjoy, I would read it. Then
I would see all the articles in the
paper.
I think it’s time we gave the read-
ers what they want instead of try-
ing to write something that a lot of
people in Austin would want to read.
