Moore was the daughter of the late Mr. j
and Mrs. Judge Jernigan. In 1922 she

Martha is a Whitewright High School
graduate and felt like she had returned
home when she moved here two years
ago. She is a native of Whitesboro.
She enjoys sewing and sews for her
daughter, Cheri, as well as herself. She
also plays the piano for her personal
enjoyment. She belongs to the Parent
Teacher Organization and is correspon-
ding secretary for the Friday Literary
Club.
Other members of the family include
a son, John, her husband and a very vocal
poodle called Bruiser.

Octavia Roach, who celebrated her lOCth
birthday last week, was honored at birth-
day parties by the Nursing Home and the
Town and Country Club. Mrs. Roach is next
to the oldest patient in the home. Mary

Tom McHolmes of Trenton played the
guitar and sang a number of religious
selections for the monthly birthday party.
The following celebrated January birth-
days: Dennis Butler, Effie Frazier, Betty
Connelly, Maudie Freeman, Aubrey Hall,
Horace Magers, Gracie Samples, Tilmon
Tallent, Neva Whitson, Carl May and
Holmes Connelly.

4 8-oz. pkgs, sharp cheddar cheese
6 cups Bisquick
Crumble and brown sausage, and drain.
Melt cheese in top of double boiler. Mix
cheese and sausage with dry Bisquick.
Make into rolls and chill. Slice and
cook in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes.
It can also be frozen and used as needed.
Makes five or six rolls.

The Athletic Department of Bells High
&jhoolhas extended its program to include
tte Bells area and is now offering an
Aldult Exercise Program for men and
\®men. The universal gym will be used
in an eight-week course that will con-
sist of 16 sessions.
*1 The sessions for the women will be
from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays and
Thursdays. The men’s sessions will be
on the same days from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
There will be a minimum lab fee of $10
for the eight-week course. This will be
the first type program for adults offered
in the area and anyone may register.
Arrangements will be made for chil-
dren who attend with their parents. Coach
Wayne Johnson will direct the program
and will be assisted by Coach Larry
Shockley. Coach Johnson said, “This
weight lifting program will be new for
women, but will help shift pounds into the
right places and add and subtract from
the wrong places.“Coach Shockley grinned
and answered, “No comment.”
Any questions about this adult exer-
cising program can be answered by con-
tacting either Coach Johnson or Coach
Shockley.

Mrs. John Murphy and held in the home
of Mrs. Arvin Vestal. Other hostesses
were Mrs. W.H. Baker, Mrs. Wayne Scott
and Mrs. R.D. Maddux.
Mrs. Baker directed a series of games
with the 24 guests participating Mrs.
Randy Newman assisted the honoree in
opening and displaying gifts. The refresh-
ment table was laid with a white lace
cloth, centered with an arrangement of
pink and white blossoms, a single pink
candle in a white holder and a crystal
punch service. Assisting with the serving
were Misses Diane and Suzanne Vestal.
The employees of the Whitewright LADD BROWN, DECEASED,
Nursing Home complimented Mrs. Geneva
Murphy with a Stork Shower Thursday.
Over 30 were present. Following the gift
presentation, nunch and cake were served.
