went on a hitting spree to down
the Baptist ten by an easy count
of 15 to 4
The Baptists scored two In the
first time at bat when Penney walk-
ed after two were out. Sheppard
then drove a home run into right
field to score Penney ahead of him
The Lodgemen tied it up quickly in
their first bat when Spalding walk-
ed, George was safe on Cooper’s er-
ror at first. Hobson then came
through with a ground single be-
tween first and second to score
Spalding and George In the second
the Lodgemen went wild to tally
eight times Hits by Gaston, Grube
Spalding and Hobson, and a circuit
clout by George were the big guns
in that inning George's hit found
