Dallas, worthy grand matron of

Denton, deputy grand matron.
The reception suite was decorat-
ed with large bronze chrysanthe-
mums and apples were hollowed
out and used as candle-holders on
the mantel, banked with holly and
red berries. The dining table wa-s
laid with a sheer linen cloth and
a cluster' of apple-encased candles
was In the center, surrounded with
holly and berries,
presided at the
and Mrs. C W Words assisted in
serving.
Guests were seated at bridge ta-
bles, laid with matching sheer linen
cloths and centerpieces of lighted
candles, hollv and berries similar to
the large table from which the sup-
per was served. Place cards were
ihe emblem ot the order, white
stars decorated with green leaves
and red berries, and were made of
meringue.
A program following the supper
was begun by a sing-song led by
Fred DeWald of Dallas, grand sen-
tinel. Mayor Lee Preston spoke,
and Mrs. Margaret Clack oi Gaines-
ville gave a humorous reading. The
hostesses presented the honorees
special favors in original dialogue.

tron of the Denton chapter, and C.
