Exceeding strange things occur
sometimes, and among the recent
and almost .'unbelievable things
that has happened, is the peculiar
action of a Rhode Island Red hen,
that Ixdoiigs to Newt White, who
resides three miles east of Lamasco.
31r. White has a large cedar tree
in his yard ard th*' first limbs
form a three cornered fork about
twenty feet above the ground.
Alrout three months ago the hen
was seen to fly up in the tree.
Mr. White watched her and s<K>n
discovered that she was carrying
sticks and straw and building a I
nest. He watched her from day to
day until she completed the nest
and is now laying and Mr. White
takes a ladder and goes to the
oiice a w;«ek and gets the eggs.
