The third meeting of the Ringgold
Community Service will be held at
the Christian Church on the
Saturday night in December,
program will be announced
the church next Sunday.
These Community Services are
unique in their co-operative arrange-
ment and they are a great factor for
bringing all of the best interests
of the own and community into sym-
pathy and co-operation with each
other. The program is so arranged
•s to have at least one short address
from the pastor or some member of
each church one or more memberB of
the school faculty. Also a represen-
tative from the High School and a
speaker from some business firm and
of the Farm-Labor Union.
Rev. S. F. Houchens, pastor of the
First Christian Church, will have
charge of the meeting and is ex-
pected to be th* principal apeaker
of the occasion. Everyone invited
to com and join the forces for a bet-
ter community.

ation was a soldier in the army of
the King of Glory. Everyone on
the program did well and measured
up to the highest expectation. There
were those on the program from
othr curches cf the town and who
were also members of the B. Y. P. U.
This is the only poung peoples or-
ganization in the town if its kind
and all the young people are invited
, to join it and many have. A large
| and interested crowd greeted these
| young pople in their first public ef-
I fort of this kind.
Following the program, the pastor
took up a collection for the new
song books, just purchased and more
than ti*e price was raised. All the
balance was to go to the orchestra
for the purpose of buying orchestra-
tion. By the next Booster meeting
the orchestration will be on hand
a financial way, the Ringgold people
do great things. It is expected that
the Methodist church and the school
will soon have the same book as the
Baptists, which will, mean much to
the music in the community.
Before the meeting was dismissed,
the congregation gladly hard Dr.
Frank Boyd, eye ear, nose and throat
specialist from Fort Worth speak on
health among school children and
some of the defects that should be
corrected in order to give te child
dy a fair chance in school and in life.
