Explorers Take Twin
Bill From Trinity
The Explorers took both ends of *
doubleheaders, as they defeated ths
Trinity Tigers In the Trinity Park
Sunday.
In the first game 7
on the mound for Na'
lowed only 5 hits as he won his game
6 to 1. This was a league game and
gave the Explorers a percentage of
.666 In the second half. Navasota se-
cured 10 hits, Manager Jones driving
out 8 doubles out of four trips to the
platter. He also scored 3 runs. Geo.
Keister drove out a home run in the
eighth.
In the abbreviated contest which
was limited to 5 innings. Perry twirled
for {the Explorers and limited the
Tigers to 2 hits. Navasota won this-,
'gape 4 to 2. ■ . '
The Explorers will meet the Bell-
ville team Thursday afternoon at 4.
Bellville has not defeated Navasota
this year and it is understood they
are Including in their lineup players-
from Sealy and Hempstead. The game
should prove interesting.
