Almost every purchase you make represents a choice.
And usually a wide choice, between three or four or
forty good possibilities.
But no good housekeeper today spends all her
spare time on the go—comparing qualities, estimating
values, trying to get the most for the money spent

I Wretched full length below him,
when Larry and Blondie entered the
living room. Lurline’s description
of the yacht was never finished, as
the two came in, Larry singing
gaily.
"She was a village maiden,
And her life was full of pain,
Till she met her little Larry
And she lost her heart again.”
As they approached the divan,
Larry, with mock seriousness, said:
“This la little Blondie McClune—
Miss Cavendish. I’ve been dying
for you two to meet socially....*’
Lurline was quick to appear
friendly In front of Larry.
“Why on earth did you fly out
like that?"’ she asked Blondie, ris-
ing and making room for her on
th^ divan... .”1 flee a veritable sky-
rocket”
“Lottie, you're a scream!” and
Blondie gave a slight imitation of
Lurline’s superior attitude. Then
turning to Larry she said: Doesn’t
she make you laugh?”
“Plenty,” answered Larry. There
was a moment of embarrassing si-
lence, but Blondie wasn't going to
let the conversation die now

When Blondie and Larry were
ushered into their box at the thea-

Blondie stood staring at the stage,
wide-eyed and eager. The stage vzas
so large, and so many people were

down besides her, and except for an

Blondie asked in a whisper what it
