of associates who came here from
Eagle Lake and other points in that
vicinity contains I .'>00 acres r.nd it
is the intentic n of the owners to de-
velop every acre of the tract and
place it in a high state of cultivation
within a year. Fix hundred acr.- -

be planted to potatoes this fall the
owners of the plantation having had
considerable experience in the raising
of potatoes in the Eagle Lake district.
! ive carloads of farm machinery
and other machinery to be used i:.
the development of the plantation
were received this week and is now
being unloaded at the Piper planta-
tion spur. They have purchased the
very highest class of machinery fori
the carrying out of the ir development
work and are now in a po.-ition to
proceed rapidly with their develop-
ment plans.
The soil i f the Fan Rafael planta-
tion is extremely fertile and un U r
an intensive plan of cultivation can
be made to produce enormous re-
turns. The owners have decided to
leave nothing undone to make it
yield the maximum and plan to make
the plantation one of the biggest pro-
ducer in the Valley. Their plans in-
clude general beautification of the
tract as well as the installation of a
thoroughly up-to-date plant for the
