I,
pooped,
tired, and
frustrated, lay
my head down upon
my pillow at the end
of the day, exhausted by
the constant go since seven
o'clock this morning. My
mind wanders to more pleas-
ant things. My body aches,
my eyes grow heavy, my mus-
cles limp, and somehow my
pleasant thoughts grow
as weary and tired as
I. They slowly turn
to the tear
that
lulls me to sleep.
Sarah Case
I welcome the sleep
Sister to death
In the darkest night
I slip to the depths
To the unexplored regions
that minds cannot perceive
It is a humble status
of which I do not conceive
It is a lonely state of mind
of which I speak
