CHICAGO WHEAT
CHICAGO Nov. 30.—I4»v—'Wheat
roee suddenly today to the highest
closing prices that have been teach- ■
ed in many weeks nearly 8c above
figures which were obtainable here
Tuesday. A late outburst of buy-
ing orders largely on European of-
ferings had grown scarce. Accel-
erating the advance were predic-
tions that deliveries of wheat Mon-
day on December contracts here
would be small perhaps only 500.000
bushels and that the 1929 Argen-
tine exportable surplus of wheat
would prove scant not more than
100.000.000 bushels.
Chicago closing quotations on
wheat were strong 2 l-8c to 2 7-8c
ner bushel hisrher than yesterday’s
finish. Coni closed 5-8" to 1 l-8c
up oats 3-8 at l-2c to 7-8c advanc-
ed. and provisions varying from 5c
setback to a rise of 2c.
Com and oats swayed with wheat
advancing rather shandy in the late
tmnsactions. The outlook was that
Chicago deliveries on December com
contracts Monday would be virtual-
ly zero.
Desoite weakness of hog values
orovislons were sustained bv ware-
house purchasing of December
lard.
