"Plight” the Columbia all-talking
aviation sensation coming to the
Rivoli Theatre San Benito on Sun-
day was made with the cooperation
of government officials in Washing-
ton. Captain Francis E. Pierce of the
United States Marine Corps was de-
tailed to supervise war scenes on
the production. Colonel Harry Lay
temporarily in cV rge of the Marine
Base at San Diego was also ac-
titcly engaged in the direction of
the battle sequences.
In commenting on the work done
in San Diego army officials have
stated that the machine gun firing
the aerial action and the manoeu-
vers of the soldiers are true to ac-
tual warfare. All the machine guns
and other artillery were copied from
what was used in the recent Mexi-
can rebellion and the planes are ac-
curate duplicates of those used in
the government Marine Base.

‘Cockeyed World’ Is
Lively Marine Film
Everyone remembers Captain
Flagg and Sergeant Quirt the hard-
boiled Marines of “What Price
Glory?”. So vital were these two
characters so ably portrayed by Vic-
tor McLaglen and Edmund Lowe
that people everywhere immediately
recognized them as two of the most
vividly drawn characters ever seen
on the stage or screen.
And now comes the announcement

And this latest* screen effort of
Flagg and Quirt < McLaglen and

adventures momentary' love-making
laugh-provoking situations and all

I first rate entertainment.
And again Flagg and Quirt are
pitted against eqgh other. They fight
they love the same girls they en- 1
gage in old fashioned horse play and
in general are a riot from the open-

it off. they bring to their latest ef-
