the home of Rev; and Mrs. Jeff Da-
vis in the Mesa community to cele-
brate Mrs. Davis’ eighty first birth-

Day at High School
Monday was official Sadie Haw-
kins day at the Navasota High
School, when everything was in re-
verse. " ■ ' -
The day was started off with a
race the girls chasing the boys to
get their dates for the dance that
evening, when they took on all the
social responsibilities and furnished
the finances for the occasion.
Th dance was held at the August
Horst Club, the youngsters were
dressed to represent Sadie Hawkins,
Daisy May, Lil Abner and other
Characters in the comic strip. During
the evening, Irish stew was served.
Needless to. say it was a hilarious
