Worth $15000
A coin collection declared by the
owner to be one of the best In North
America is the property of Octavlo
Gutierrez manager of La Victoria a
candle manufacturing plant at Cnt-
hnahns. Cirv. which was amontr ex
hibits tn the Mexican hall at the in-
ternational exposition.
The collection comprises more than
2000 pieces from S2 nations with a
face value of nearly J5000 and valued
at more than S1S.000. The collec
tion Is the result of 20 years' effort
on the part of Mr. Gutierrez and his
brothers Carlos and Domingo asso-
ciated In the business at Chihuahua
City.
Modern as well as old coins are in
cluded. The modern coins are worth
only their face value which amounts
to considerable as gold coin of all
minted denominations of a score of
nations are included.
The collection of Spanish and Mexi-
can coins is esneclallv extensive and
embraces at least one of nearly every
design minted since the 17th century.
