Is the child almost always in-
attentive, impulsive, or hyperactive?
Does the child’s behavior inter:
fere with his performance in school
or at home?
Is the behavioral problem present
in different settings - at home, at
school, with babysitters?
If the answer is yes, talk to the

IS IT A LEARNING DIFFERENCE?
At the parent teacher conference
the teacher talks about the child’s
inability to pay attention. The
babysitter complains about constant
fighting. At home Mother or Dad is
always shouting, “Can’t you be still
for a minute!’,’
Is it just “a phase” the child is
going through? Maybe more spank-
ings would correct the situation.
Maybe it’s because the parents have
just divorced. Maybe it’s a learning
difference.
