Wain wright Members
Get Service Ribbons
Certain members of the Wain-
wriglit Rifles have been awarded
the right to wear the Honor Drill
Company Ribbon. „
Sixty-three men were awarded
the Honor Drill Company Ribbon
for being a member in good stand-
ing of the Wainwright Rifles for
one semester. f
Six men were awarded the light
to wear a silver "2" and a second
ribbon. Those students who receiv-
ed this award and are still attend-
ing Tarleton are Herb Seigler,
James Hagler, Raymond Kenny,
and Darrell Jackson.
Thirteen men were awarded the
right to wear a silver "3" and a
third ribbon. Present students re-
ceiving this honor include Fred
Barrett, Jack Partin, Pat Craw-
ford, Doug Conley, Charles Oliver,
"Chip" Merrill, Joe Schuster, Beth-
el Eiland, Rudy Zuereher, and
Kenneth Cottle. These students have
been members in good standing for
three semesters.
Rodeo Club Calls for
Additional Meeting*
The Tarleton Rodeo Club held
a meeting Tuesday night in the
Ag. Building, but due to the very
few who atended another meeting
has ben called for tonight, March
6. All members are urged to
attend. Discussion of N. I. R. A.
membership is to be carried on.
The club is also planning an-
other Western Dance to be held
later in the spring.

For Male Lead in
Tarleton Musical

Parents' Day production of the
operetta adapted from "The Stu-
dent Prince."
Opal Marie Bailey, freshman
agricultural major of Akron, Ohio,
has been cast in the role of Kathi,
leading feminine part, it was an-
nounced Friday.
The role of Karl, Altruvian prince
who enrolls in Tarleton, is still
to be filled, W. B. Martin, co-
author of the presentation, states.
"The person who fills this roie
inust be good-looking-, tail, ex-
tremely masculine, in appearance
and . dignified and must possess
self-confidence and stage presence.
He must be able to fence and to
drill,"
Other roles yet unfilled include
the page and a cadet officer.
Recent castings include: Max
Roberts, telegraph boy; Leroy
Meggs, fencing instructor; Betsy
Evans, Kathi's aunt; Roddy Hob-
son, Professor Ingle;- Sue Spratt
Duchess Maria of Doughoregan;
Don Tate, rush captain; Charles
Zewe, first cadet; Philip Ogan,
second cadet, and Johnnie Faye
Carlisle, Princess Margaret.

Engineers' Schedule
Two New Films Put on
The movies to be shown by the
engineering department next Mon-
day at 5 p. m. in the Science Build-
rig, Room 827, third floor, are en-
titled "How a Watch Works" and
'Nickel' Tales."
"How a Watch Works" is a film
which in simple east-to-understand
demonstrations presents the basic
The inside works are shown on a
giant 7 foot in-line model, exact to
scale and the functions of each
part is clearly shown. Everyone
design and operation of a watch,
seeing this picture will know what
to look for in a watch, what to ex-
pect of it and why watches should
be eared for. This is an unusually
interesting film on this industry.
"Nickel Tales" presents the story
of nickel by use of animated dia-
grams showing the usefulness of
nickel and its alloys, in transporta-
tion, communication, industry, and
the home.
These movies are free to any one
who wishes to become educated in
a leisurely manner.
